Orchid can sing..

Don’t believe it? This is true..but only in my country, as I was talking about a person :) The only orchid that I know who can really sing was the late Orchid Abdullah. Orchid was her real name.. She was a singer and quite popular too..especially in the 60’s and 70’s..She’s been singing songs in Malaysian Radio back in the days..Before that she was a former school teacher..She came from a mix parentage of Arabian and English.

One of her most memorable song is Penawar Rindu. The song simply tells about a girl who's secretly in love with a man but he didn’t know it till the end..this is another evergreen traditional song in my country which has been covered by many artist past and present. She died in May this year.

On the cover of her album.Orchid, such a rare name for a person.

She's as beautiful and lovely as her name..

There's always a girl named Rose, Jasmine, Lily or Camellia, but how many person named Orchid in this world?

Another album cover..

Saya upload kan 2 video klip lagu nyanyian beliau untuk hiburan dan nostalgia bersama..here are the songs..

...and this is the song that I've been talked about..Penawar Rindu..happy listening..

Die when I may, I want it said by those who knew me best
that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower
where I thought a flower would grow.
